productive weekend
There was a lot of movie watching and some grocery shopping but somehow I managed to set aside a few hours to create these yoga mat bags. Edit: These are now for sale in my shop!

needs a kick to restart
I'm feeling sorta blah these days. Things just doesn't seem to be going my way. I dont feel inspired to create anything, I havent even been making an effort to wear my usual outfits. I've just been going to work with my jeans and a sweater the last few days. I know it will pass and things'll get better but you know that heavy feeling you get when you go through one of these phases? It's just sitting there somewhere inside me.
Was looking through flickr for something to inspire me and make me happy. Found these wonderful illustrations. There's light at the end of the tunnel.

de young = vivienne + gold bowl
Went to the De Young over the weekend with some of my girlfriends to check out the Vivienne Westwood exhibit. I have to say I will probably wear be able to pull off only about a quarter of the stuff that she makes. I do however, appreciate the level of detail she puts into her clothes, expecially her evening wear. They were showing a video interview about her work in general. She goes as far as saying that she hopes that the people who criticize her work are only doing so as a reaction to the banality of every other clothes that are out there in the world. After the exhibit, we went over to the museum store. I love museum stores. Its a great place to see hard-to-find items. One that caught my attention at the De Young store is this Brella Bowl from Umbra dsigned by Michelle Ivankovic.

secret sushi
These may be their 10 rules but my only rule is: do not talk about this secret sushi place. So I wont mention the name or the location. If the sign looks familiar to you then you're in the know. Best sushi I've ever had, hands down. Fresh fish, friendly service. A+ !

The hubby and I went to Room & Board yesterday and this chair caught my eye. And of course it's called Gigi, named after me.

finished product
I made this bag yesterday, inspired by the 3191 photo. It was a process of trial and error and I learned a lot of things while working on it. In the end, I am happy with it. It will be up in the shop soon, which will also be up soon. ^_^ More photos are available here.

jewelry by polli
I was shopping with a friend on Fillmore street here in San Francisco yesterday and saw these fabulous jewelry from Polli by designers Tess Lloyd and Maja Bartlett from Australia. I love the detail given to each design, and how how each of them are delicate and yet strong at the same time.

jacobs by marc jacobs for marc by marc jacobs
Found this through Love Made Visible. I am a Marc Jacobs fan. I typically don't go for in your face logo branding but this one is too cute to ignore. And too cheap at $12! I think I will stop by the Marc store this weekend and pick one up.

pretty on the cheap
They were showing the Old Navy ad during Grey's Anatomy tonight and I thought the clothes were so pretty, especially the black navy and white baby doll dress. I usually just shop there to get basics like t-shirts and tank tops but this season they're actually on the trend.

addiction
It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who's addicted to fabric shopping. I recently had to go to Ross to buy a second basket to contain my oh-so-growing fabric collection. I have a pact with myself that I will not buy any more fabric until I sell another bag, but alas I keep "forgetting" about that pact when I step into Britex or Discount Fabric. This article is definitely worth a read and fabric-holics will truly relate.

the object of my fixation
This dress is by Anna Sui so beautiful and it fits me so well. But alas there is no way I will be able to ever afford it, even with $75 in Anthropologie gift certificates. Oh, a girl can dream, can't she?

groovy indeed
This is from seller mwilson at etsy. Aren't they wonderful? The prints are inexpensive too. I love the bird motif going on. I have to say, I see birds on a lot of items these days but I don't think I will ever get tired of them.

purple and gray
This is from 3191. This photo haunted me for days, in a good way. It has inspired me to create a bag with these colors. Isn't it lovely? I truly admire how some people can see and show us the beauty in daily life. Bag coming soon. Bag is here
